Bear River

If I could steal a scene from Mary Poppins, where they jump into the chalk pavement picture, then I would choose this painting to jump into! The artist has created a celebration of nature and serenity which inspires the soul. I truly feel that a volume of literary genius could be created and born on the page, simply from the inspirational stirrings which this painting lends. I live very near this grassy spot on Bear River, and while it's true, that I could very simply get into my car and drive about 7 miles to this exact location--I don't think real life could replicate the experience for me. Carolyn Davidson has so aptly captured the magic of nature's majesty that one can not help but cry out, "Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!" When looking at this picture, I feel a sweep of reverance as I feel that I am allowed to feel the emotion and even read the thoughts of the man standing in the crook of the river.
