Riding

This painting represents everything that I love about my western heritage! The pink-denim clad rider is perhaps, the world's greatest cowboy. The other two riders are also recognizable heroes of mine. Gazing at this picture, I can hear the clippity-clop the the horses gaits which harmonizes with the pleasant, easy conversations of the three riders. I am amazed when an artist is able to replicate recognizagle images of people, or places, but it is astonishingly impressive to me that Carolyn Davidson can also spring life into these images, by somehow, capturing the spirit of the occasion. She touches my sensitivities through her work. Her art evokes strong emotion which both thrills my heart, and makes it ache deliciously (with home-sickness) at the same time. Powerful! This is art in the truest sense.
